RORATE MASS
Saturday, 12/16 Rosary at 6:00 AM, Mass at 6:30 AM, St. Patrick Church. Carry-in breakfast in Makley Hall following this Mass.
Rorate Caeli is Latin for "Drop down, ye heavens" and are the opening words of the Introit (which is an opening Psalm or antiphon), coming from Isaiah 45:8. "Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant justum, aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem." "Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened and bud forth a Savior." - Isaiah 45:8 A Rorate Caeli Mass is traditionally celebrated just before dawn in Advent as a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Mass is only lit by candles, representing Mary's role in bringing the Light of the World into the darkness of the world. -

CONSECRATED VIRGINITY
9:00 a.m. Holy Family Hall at Saint Mary of the Woods.
11:00 a.m. Makley Hall at Saint Patrick.
If you've never heard of consecrated virginity, you're not alone! Although it's the oldest vocation for women in the Church, there aren't many around. In fact, there are only about 300 in the country! Please come join us on Sunday, November 12, after both the 8:00 a.m. St. Mary of the Woods Mass and the 10:00 a.m. St. Patrick Mass, where Ashley Roberts will explain a little bit about this vocation she has chosen and some of the aspects of the rite of consecration. All are welcome! -
WELCOME, BENJAMIN PACKER
Mary, Queen of Angels Family of Parishes is pleased to welcome Benjamin Packer as our seminarian intern! He will begin on August 28th and spend the 2023-2024 academic year with us in order to gain experience living, teaching, and serving in parish life. The following is a brief introduction from Benjamin.
My name is Benjamin Packer. I will be spending the next year in your parishes as a seminarian intern with Fr. Landenwitch. I have completed six years of seminary - four years in college seminary and two in Theology in Cincinnati. I grew up in a homeschooling family with my five younger brothers and two younger sisters. I entered college seminary at Bishop Simon Bruté in Indianapolis after graduating high school and have continued for two years at Mt. St. Mary's in Cincinnati for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. God willing, I will be ordained in just under three years from now. I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, and occasional casual sports whether it is disc golf or a casual game Of ultimate frisbee. Hopefully, I will have the pleasure of meeting many of you in the coming weeks.
